Kenneth John Burns, 79, died on the 15th of October at Nanaimo Regional General Hospitoal after suffering complications from injuries after a fall.
Born on 8th of August 1939 in Port Arthur, Ontario (now Thunder Bay), Ken worked as a power lineman in BC, Ontario and Alberta. He spent 26 years working for the City of Calgary and retired from City Electric in 1998. He promptly relocated west to balmy and beautiful Nanaimo where he enjoyed many happy days golfing at the Nanaimo Golf Club.
Ken is survived by his devoted wife Lyla, children; Pam, Tresa and George, brother; David and many beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
