1929 – 2017
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Mr. Kenneth ‘Ken’ Alan Hunley on Sunday, December 31, 2017 at Extendicare Michener Hill at the age of 88 years. Ken was born in Hanna, Alberta on July 2, 1929 to Esta May and James Edgar Hunley. Most of Ken’s childhood was spent in Rocky Mountain House, Alberta. In his earlier years, he was a member of the Armed Forces. On June 4, 1955, he married his lifelong love, Helen Margaret Wilson. Together the couple had two children, Curtis Alan and Sherry Lynn Hunley. They eventually moved to Red Deer; where they raised their family. Once in Red Deer, the couple also started a Real Estate Company as well as a Motel Business. Ken will be very sadly missed by his son, Curtis Hunley (Brenda Laird) of Innisfail, Alberta; and his daughter, Sherry Hunley (George Bunrey) of Penhold, Alberta. Ken will also be deeply missed by his two grandchildren and his one great grandchild. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Helen Margaret Hunley.
