KEMPTON – Shirley Joan, 86, of Liverpool, passed away peacefully in Ryan Hall, Bridgewater on Friday, November 2, 2018.
Born in Liverpool, Shirley was a daughter of the late Harry and Ruth (Cleveland) Hollands.
Shirley worked for the former MT&T in the Liverpool office and as a sales clerk with Campbell’s Jewelry and Sears Canada, Liverpool Outlet. She was a member of Zion United Church, the UCW and Queens General Hospital Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed weekly card games with friends especially canasta. Shirley was known as a very social person; a friend to many and enjoyed chatting with residents at Queens Manor and Hillsview Acres. She will be fondly remembered for her walks with her beloved shelties, Shelly and Brandy.
Shirley is survived by her daughters Barbie (Brian) Fralic of Port Mouton and Becky (Scott) Tanner of Lunenburg.
Her grandchildren Jessica (Eric) MacKay, Nick Fralic, April Tanner (Kevin Crouse), Elisha (Taylor) Daurie, Joey Tanner, Morgan Kempton (Holly) and her great grandchildren Benjamin and Hanna MacKay; Harmony Daurie, Jordan and Austin Tanner-Crouse, Ryleigh, Chloe, Brodee, Owen and Olivia Kempton and her daughter in Law Valerie Conrad.
Shirley was predeceased by her son John and her sister Betty Lohnes.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral home, Liverpool. All are welcome to join Shirley’s family for a graveside memorial service to be held on Thursday, November 8, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in Trinity Anglican Cemetery. Reverend Carol Smith officiating. Family flowers only, donations may be made to S.HA.I.D. or to the Queens General Hospital Foundation. Online condolences may be made to www.chandlersfuneral.com
