Obituary for
Kathleen Elizabeth Reilly
REILLY Kathleen Elizabeth – Age 102, of the Meadows Home for Special Care passed away peacefully on October 14,2018 at the Meadows. Born in Kelley’s Cove, Yarmouth Co, N.S, on November 8,1915 she a daughter to the late William and Elizabeth (Doucette) O’Connell. Kathleen was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. She started her working career as a house keeper before working at the Cotton Mill, Odeon Theatre, H.F. Discount Stores, and a proud salesperson for Avon. She was also a member of Saint Ambrose Co-Cathedral and loved to take care of her flower gardens. She is survived by her daughter, Shirley Reilly, The Meadows; sister, Dorothy Beasley, The Meadows; grandchildren, Dawn Nickerson, Nancy Nickerson; and great granddaughter, Sarah Nickerson; and son in law, Ray Nickerson. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Douglas Reilly; daughters, Joan Reilly and Lillian Nickerson; brothers, Edward, Arthur, John, Douglas; sisters, Anne Carleton and Mildred Muise. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. Visitation will be held Thursday October 18, 2018 from 7-9 P.M. in Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel. A funeral service will be held Friday, October 19, 2018 at 11 A.M. from Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon Bruce Hubbard officiating. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations in memory may be made to the Yarmouth S.P.C.A or a charity of your choice.
