Peacefully surrounded by her family at the Huntsville District Memorial Hospital on Sunday April 15, 2018 in her 93rd year.
Kathleen Amos (nee Burtt), beloved wife of the late Charles John Amos.
Loving mum of Michael (Glenda), Ian (Carolyn), Bernard (Karen), Lynne Myers (Lloyd) and Gerald (Elaine).
Proud grandma of the late Colin, Andrea (Adrian), Aaron (Nancy), Jennifer (Todd), Charlene (Mike), Lesley (Chris), Corisa (Gerry), Robert, Bradley, Tyler, Holly, Melissa and great grandmother of 10.
Cherished sister of Edward Gerald Burtt (June) and aunt of Cameron Amos (Millie).
Fondly remembered by all of her relatives and friends.
Kathleen came to Canada as a war bride in 1946. She was a member of the Sundridge Legion and the Sundridge Horticultural Society. She lived in Pevensey since 1953, enjoyed winning at cribbage, playing cards with family and friends and was an avid gardener.
Family will receive visitors at the Opatovsky Funeral Home – Moore Chapel, 9 Paget Street in Sundridge on Sunday April 22, 2018 from 1-4 P.M.
A service to celebrate the life of the late Kathleen Amos will be conducted at Zion United Church, 49 Main Street in Sundridge on Monday April 23, 2018 at 1:00 P.M. with Reverend Alun Thomas officiating,.
Spring interment at the Pevensey Cemetery in Strong Township.
If desired, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the charity of your choice would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
