KASNER Donald Arthur September 22 2018

Donald Arthur Kasner passed away September 22, 2018 at Leduc Hospital after a brief courageous battle with cancer.
Donald is remembered by his sister Lorraine (Paul) Stallknecht of Stony Plain; brother Ed (Cynthia) Kasner of Temecula, California; niece Kimberly (Blair) Johnson of Stony Plain and their children Logan Johnson, Emily (Daniel) Denning; nephew John (Shelene) Glunz of Thorsby and their children Brettan and Alyssa Glunz; nephew Kade (Mary) Kasner of Houston and their children Shane, Amber and Kylie Kasner; nephew Kyle (Kathy) Kasner of Loma Linda and their children Connor, Calvin and Colin Kasner.
Donald was predeceased by his parents Arthur and Hilda Kasner, nephew Daniel Glunz and brother-in-law Paul Stallknecht.
His education included schools in Iron Springs, Telfordville, Thorsby and a boarding academy in Lacombe.
Leaving home at age 16, Donald spent the next 42 years in the United States building Ford trucks in Detroit and working at a book production company in San Diego. During this time, he made occasional visits to our family.
In 1997 Don returned to his Alberta roots and for the next 20 years lived in tranquility on the family farm.
Donald enjoyed the outdoors, was an avid woodsman, gun enthusiast, hunter and trapper. In later years, he preserved wildlife by feeding and studying them.
Interment has taken place at the Telfordville United Church Cemetery, Telfordville, AB.
