It is with the great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend Karen Roulston.
Karen was born in Creston, B.C. to parents Stella Bedry (nee Zackodnik) and Ingvard Wilson on July 11, 1939. Karen met her late husband Ronald Roulston in high school and quickly fell in love; they married in 1957 and moved to Fruitvale, B.C. where they raised four beautiful children. Karen and Ron moved to Whitehorse in 1986, Karen was widowed in 2005 and moved back to Creston, B.C. in 2008. In 2010 Karen met Robert Thompson they spent their retirement traveling and spending time with family.
Karen is survived by her brothers Bud (Cindy), Jim (Shiela); Children: Renee (Dale), Cindy, Debbie and Shawn (Michele); and grandchildren: Shane (Carrie), Cody (Samantha), Leah, Shayla and Brett; and great-grandchildren Kiana, Braxton, Dalton, Michael, Jesse, Alexandria, and Katherine.
A celebration of life will be held in Creston, BC on July 6, 2018, at 11 am at the Creston Recreation Centre in the Creston room. Interment to follow at the Forest Lawn Cemetery in Erickson, BC.
