OBITUARY
June Dauphinee
Born June 4, 1925
DAUPHINEE, June
June passed peacefully into the arms of her Saviour on Sunday, March 4, 2018. She was June, Mom, Gram- my, Mrs. D, and Grammy Dauphinee (to many, many people). June was born in Fort Francis, Ont., on June 4, 1925. Her early years were spent with her family on an island where her father ran Split Rock Lodge, a hunting and fishing lodge. With the Depression, the family moved to Winnipeg where she met her life partner, Ernie. From there they moved with the armed forces from coast to coast, retiring in Halifax. Mom was blessed, and she knew and appreciated it. With that, she shared her talents, time, and treasures wherever she went. She was a proud Scouter since 1964, as a troop leader, a trainer, then as a member of BP Guild. With Dad, she was an active member of Eastern Star, Kwebec Chapter PM, Emerald Chapter PM and Evening Star. She was a Past Queen of Daughters of the Nile, Athena Temple. She was a faithful member of St. Timothy’s congregation, including the ACW and a turn on council. At Seniors Cards Group, she was up for whatever game was dealt. As a member, and past president of the VG Auxiliary, she thoroughly enjoyed visiting many patients. She was predeceased by her husband, Ernest; and is survived by her children, Dwight (Sandra), Lloyd, Kim, Dawn (Steve) Purcell; grandchildren, Lisa (Kerry) Monin, Brenda Lee (Valter) Nakamura, Colin Dauphinee, Natalie (Kevin) Nymark, Jennifer Dauphinee, Melissa (Mark) McMullin; and great-grandchildren, Kelsey Dauphinee, Henry Nymark, and grandpuppy Prairie. June believed in blooming where you are planted. She found joy wherever she was and always had a smile. Great thanks to the caregivers from Closing the Gap, VON Nurses, Dr. Coles, and Dr. Mallory. Also to Juanita who made Fridays special for Mom and to Helen whose visits brightened many a day. Visitation in J.A. Snow Funeral Home on Lacewood Drive on Friday, March 9th from 2-4 p.m. followed by Order of the Eastern Star and Nile service from 6-7 and visitation 7-8 p.m. Celebration of Life in St. Timothy’s Anglican Church, 2320 Prospect Rd., Hatchet Lake, on Saturday, March 10th at 2 p.m. with a reception to follow. Family flowers only. Donations appreciated for ESTARL (Eastern Star) or St. Timothy’s. In Mom’s honour do something selfless to brighten someone’s day. Pass along the blessings you have received.
Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of June Dauphinee 2018.source
