Julio Acosta
Acosta; J. Julio – Passed away suddenly but surrounded by his family, at his home in Kingston on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at the age of 71. Cherished husband of 45 years to Ofelia Acosta (nee Caceres). Loving father to Sonia Acosta-Farrell (Mike) of Kingston, Gloria Acosta of Peru, Daysi Acosta (Rick Johnston) of Kingston and Tony Acosta (Jennifer) of Winnipeg. Sadly missed by his 8 grandchildren; Gabriela Storring, Nadia Storring, Joey Farrell, Emma Farrell, Teila Acosta, Sam Acosta, Hayden Johnston and Gabby Johnston. Julio was also known as “Grandpa” to many other people. Predeceased by his father; Pedro Acosta and survived by his mother; Otilia Acosta. Beloved brother of 11 siblings. He will be fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the Wartman Funeral Home – Kingston Chapel on Friday, October 5, 2018 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm. Funeral Service at St. Paul’s the Apostle Catholic Church (1111Taylor Kidd Blvd., Kingston) on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at 10: 00 am. Interment St. Linus Catholic Cemetery, Bath at a later date. Friends desiring may contribute by cheque or credit card to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
