Joyce Ellen Spicer
Joyce Ellen Spicer, beloved wife of Nick Di Santo of Saskatoon, passed away at St. Paul’s Hospital Palliative Care on May 9, 2018 at the age of 71 years. She was the loving mother of Tracy (Dustin) Stanoffsky and Shawn (Renee) Spicer. She will be dearly missed by her seven grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; her sister, Dorothy (Frank) Gamble; nieces, Yvette, Zoe (Mark), Charmaine (Brad); brother-in-law, Brian Grams; nephews, Chris and Darcy, as well as numerous close friends, ex co-workers and cousins. Joyce was predeceased by her husband Wilfred Spicer; mother, Annie Closson, stepfather, Arthur Closson, father, Ronald McNevin and sister, Kathy Grams. She was born in Warman, SK and was raised on a farm in the Dalmeny area until she moved to Saskatoon to go to school to become a lab tech. Before working at St. Paul’s Hospital where she retired, she worked at City Hospital where she met Wilf. They were married from April 11, 1974 until his passing in 2003. A few years later she met up with the next great man in her life, Nick Di Santo, who stayed by her side every day until she passed away.
