Passed away at the Algoma Manor in her 91st year on September 26, 2018. She leaves her beloved husband of 71 years, Jim. She also leaves her daughters Connie Gardiner (Royce Cooke) and Penny Fullerton (Keith MacLeod). Joy was the grandmother of Stacia Snow (Brian), Melanie Fullerton (Dan Vachon) and Tyler Fullerton (Audrey Martin) and the great grandmother of Trinity and Sierra. She is survived by her sister Sally Gardiner her many nieces, nephews, cousins and all of her friends from Cockburn Island. Predeceased by her parents Eva and Ross Goodmurphy as well as siblings Mel Goodmurphy, Leah Seabrook, Henrietta Bolton, Arthur Goodmurphy, Stella Johnston and Kenny Goodmurphy.
The family would like to thank Dr. Haapala and the staff at Algoma Manor for their kind and compassionate care.

Family and friends may call at the Beggs Funeral Home in Thessalon on Saturday, September 29, 2018 from 11am until time of funeral service at 1pm with burial to follow at Maple Ridge Cemetery.
