Obituary of Joseph Theriault
THERIAULT, Joseph Edmond “Ed” – Age 84, of Bridgewater, Lunenburg Co., passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 1, 2018, surrounded by family, in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Weymouth NS, he was a son of the late Joseph Pius and Marie Antoinette (Comeau) Theriault.
Ed worked for the Royal Bank for 35 years, retiring as the bank manager of the Bridgewater branch.
Surviving are his loving wife of 60 years on August 9, 1958, Mary Emily (O’Neil) Theriault; his girls, Patricia (Pieter) Lubbe, Mississauga; Beverley (Robert “Bob) Yoon, Massachusetts; Carol (David) Wood, Ottawa; five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Joseph Donald Theriault. Ed was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He will be deeply missed.
Visitation will be 2:30-4 p.m., Monday, March 5 with funeral service 2 p.m., Tuesday, March 6 in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater with Father Jim MacDonald, OMI officiating. Family interment will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Bridgewater with a reception at Ridgewood Assisted Living, 372 Aberdeen Road, Bridgewater. Family flowers only, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Nova Scotia or SHAID Tree Animal Shelter. On-line condolences may be made by visiting www.sweenysfuneralhome.com.
