It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing Joseph Lawrence “Joey” Reid. Joey passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on Thursday, December 28, 2017, at the age of 40.
Beloved husband of Jennifer and loving father of Alexandra and Austin. Dear son of Leona and the late Austin Reid, grandson to Minnie and the late Bill Piercey, Theresa and the late Austin Reid. A loving brother to Bill (Lisa) and Andrea Reid, son-in-law to Don and Debby Heath, brother-in-law of Jason Heath (Joanna). Uncle Joey will be sadly missed by Ethan, Josh, Natalia and Sebastian.
A memorial mass will be held for Joey at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at St. Joseph Church, North Sydney with Rev. Patrick O’Neill officiating.
As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of choice would be appreciated by the family. Online
