It is with great sadness, the family of Joe Power announce his passing on Friday, November 2, 2018 at Stratford General Hospital after a brief battle with cancer. He was born in Corner Brook, Newfoundland on August 27, 1962, but raised in Stephenville. He leaves to mourn his mother Margaret, his sisters, Elizabeth (Rick) and Cathie (Barry), his brothers Tim (Renee), Mick, and Ted (Stacey), his nieces and nephews, Elizabeth and Robert, Maggie and Ruby, Jared, Michael, Abby, and Cathy and their mother Renee, Sam and Jack, his Uncle Brian, along with many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Joe is predeceased by his father Timothy, his brother Don and his sister Laura Anastasia. In keeping with Joe’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of his life has taken place in Stratford with his wife Connie, his son Teddy, his Aunt Betty, his cousins, Deb (Dan), Gary, (Sophie), Brian (Barbie) and cousin Brooklyn, his dear friends Joe, and Therese, along with many other Ontario family and friends. A second celebration of Joe’s life (yes, he is that special) and visitation will be held on Thursday, November 15, 2018 from 7-9 pm at Russell’s Funeral Home in Stephenville. He will be interred at a later date.
