August 11th, 1938 – January 30, 2018
Joseph James Hered, 79, of Amherstburg, Ontario, passed away peacefully on Tuesday January 30, 2018 at Erie Shores HealthCare of Leamington, Ontario, after a brief battle with Leukemia.
Born in Csatka, Hungary to Mary and Joseph Hered. They immigrated to Canada in 1949 along with his sister, Violet Soukas (2017). He lived most of his life in the Windsor Essex County area. Joe was proud to be a second generation Skilled Tradesman, business owner, and Plant Manager for many years, retiring from Valiant Machine and Tool Inc.
Joe is survived by his wife Donna Lee Ette of 56 years. Joe was very proud of his son Scott (Paula) Hered and daughter Sherri Hered of Kailua Kona, Hawaii and his cherished grand-daughter Adelaide Hered. Loving Uncle to Bill (Louise) Gall, Betty Gall (Jay Butler) and Tammy (Billy Rae) Crumb and their children.
Joe was a kind man who enjoyed driving his car around the county and being with family. He will be greatly missed by all.
A special thank you to the “Amazing” Nurses and Doctors of Erie Shores Healthcare for their loving care and support.
Visitation will take place at the JAMES H. SUTTON FUNERAL HOME, 401 Sandwich St. S., Amherstburg (519-736-2134) on Friday, February 2, 2018 from 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Parish Prayers at 8 p.m. Visitation will continue on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at 9 a.m., going in procession at 10:30 a.m. to St. John the Baptist Church for a Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Cremation to follow. In kindness, donations may be made to the Windsor Regional Cancer Centre.
