The passing of Joseph “Bert” Bertram Hoyt of Penniac, NB, husband of Beverley Hoyt, occurred on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on December 15, 1958 in Toronto, ON, He was the son of Beverly Hoyt and the late Bert Melanson. Joseph worked as a carpenter. He also enjoyed old cars, car shows and spending time with his truck and dogs.

In addition to his wife, Joseph is survived by his; sons Joey Hoyt (Melanie), Jason Hoyt (Josee), and Jesse Hoyt (Laura); grandchildren Dylan and Sydney; sisters Joselyn McCoy, and Jan Melanson (Doug); brothers Adam Hoyt, Paul Hoyt (Kim), Ron Melanson, Stephen Melanson. Besides his father, he was predeceased by his brothers Eric Hoyt, and Leonard Melanson; his grandparents Fred and Gladys Ramsay.

Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at 2 pm. Interment will take place at the Seymour Memorial Cemetery at a later date.
