Jonathan D V Shingoose passed away at the age of 36 years on November 4, 2018 in Port Coquitlam, B.C.
A wake will be held on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 starting at 11:00 am from the Cote First Nation Band Hall.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 starting at 10:00 am also from the Cote First Nation Band Hall.
Interment will follow at the Cote First Nation Cemetery.
Jonathan was born on February 3, 1982 in Regina, Saskatchewan to Jennifer Shingoose and Gary Cyr. Jonathan is a proud and loving father of six beautiful children; (Raelana) Theodore, Leona, Jeffery, Evan; (Lacey) Jonathan, and Kaelin.
He is predeceased by his grandparents; Willard and Ruth Shingoose (Cote) and David and Gloria Cyr (Pasqua), cousins, Bobbi-Lynn Shingoose (Cote), Adrian Cyr (Pasqua).
He is survived by his mother; Jennifer Shingoose (Ralph), His father Gary Cyr, Dear siblings Nathan Shingoose (Brandy), Lynette Shingoose, Dionne Shingoose and Deirdre Shingoose, also special auntie Brenda Young (Kenneth), and special uncle Kurt Cote (Eva), numerous J D clan members, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and acquaintances.
Jonathan was a traditional and spiritual man who always thought of others. He would give advice to those he knew who needed it. He had a deep respect for elders and the young ones. He was a very intelligent man with high marks in all subjects he took and he was highly spoken of by his teachers.
