Obituary of John Ecker
ECKER, John Merle – Passed away peacefully at Bluewater Health Palliative Care on Sunday, August 19, 2018 at the age of 77 after a battle with lung cancer. John was the son of the late Mel & Rose Ecker. He is survived by his son David of Reno, Nevada. He also leaves behind his brother Mike (Doreen), his sister-in-law Marg, brother-in-law Rick Kosikar and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his brother Don and sister Betty Kosikar. John was retired from Holmes Foundry. He loved fishing. He was a member of the Sarnia Yacht Club and enjoyed spending time with his buddies at the Coffee Club there. Thank you to Dr. Gamble for his many years of care of John and to the Palliative Care team at Bluewater Health for their compassion and care. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 519-344-3131.
