John Siatecki April 2 2018

John Siatecki
Peacefully, on Monday, April 2, 2018 at the Arborg Personal Care Home, John Siatecki, aged 90 years, a lifelong resident of Fraserwood, MB, passed away.
He was predeceased by his parents Karl and Anne; and his brother Adolph (Ed). He leaves to forever cherish his memory his wife of 67 years, Mary; children Wilfred (Hazel), Andrew (Lovie), Marvin and Delores; sister Helen; as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
John faithfully drove the school bus for the Evergreen School Division for 19 years and he was also a heavy equipment operator and farmer in Fraserwood, MB. He took great pride in whatever jobs and projects he was involved with. He especially admired his hay fields when the crop was off and everything was all neat and tidy. When he wasn`t working he enjoyed playing the guitar in his band the Western Rhythm Kings, but the thing that mattered most to him was his family, whenever they had a problem he was always there to help and give advice.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 6, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Gimli, MB, with interment to follow in the Fraserwood Community Cemetery with lunch to follow in the Fraserwood Hall.
A special thanks to the staff at the Arborg Personal Care Home for all the kindness and compassion shown to John in his time there. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to CancerCare Manitoba, 2117-675 McDermot Ave, Winnipeg MB R3E 0V9.
Condolences, pictures and videos may be left on John`s tribute wall at www.gilbartfuneralhome.com
