John Peter Keith
September 13, 1947 – August 23, 2018
John Peter Keith
On Sept. 13, 1947, John Peter made a quiet arrival at the Aberdeen Hospital in New Glasgow and joined parents Peter & Helen (formerly Weir) Keith and sister Helen Maud.
John enjoyed baseball and a multitude of activities including golf, swimming, chess and numerous card games. John graduated from New Glasgow High and St. FX University.
John is survived by his children Melissa, Meredith (Michael), Patrick, Peter (Queeda), Paul, Phillip (Tina) & Margot and grandchildren Maria, Sam, Leah, Jeffrey, Josiah and Haley.
John was actively involved with minor sports including coaching baseball, hockey and ran many tournaments. John was a dedicated employee having worked with Revenue Canada for 35+ years.
John’s wife Phyllis has been his best friend and companion and stayed by his side while he was affected by Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s. They enjoyed travel to Ireland, Scotland, The Grand Ole Oprey, Alaska, the Caribbean and went to numerous theatrical productions, music concerts and sporting events.
