John Patrick “Lyman” Flynn
Flynn, John Patrick “Lyman” died peacefully at the Belmont Long Term Care Facility with his loving wife and best friend of 55 years Cecile (Mulroney) by his side on Wednesday, November 28, 2018 in his 81st year. Son of the late Florence and John Flynn. Dear father of Rick Flynn (Cathy) and predeceased by his son Randy Flynn. Proud poppa to his grandchildren Michael, Shannon and Sarah Flynn. Predeceased by his sister Mary McGrath, ever remembered by brothers in law Frank McGrath, Eugene Mulroney (Carolyn), Michael Mulroney, Ken Kirkpatrick (Gerry) his sisters in law Dorothy Gallagher (late Edgar), Maureen Gaffney (Robert), Mary Buck (Brian) and Kate McDonald (Pat) Predeceased by sister in law Anna Kirkpatrick. Fondly remembered by daughter in law Michelle Planeta-Flynn. Lyman was a big tease who was loved and respected by many nieces, nephews and friends. Lyman especially enjoyed his long career as a truck driver, sharing many stories.
Visitation will be held from the Burke Funeral Home, 150 Church St Belleville on Friday November 30, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated from Queen of the Most Holy Rosary Church on Saturday, December 1st, 2018 at 10;30 am. Interment Annunciation Cemetery, Enterprise Ontario. Donations to Holy Rosary Church Building Fund or the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated. Special thanks to the staff at the Belmont Long Term Care Facility for their excellent care given to Lyman throughout his illness. Online condolences at www.burkefuneralhome
