Obituary for John Klapak
Suddenly after a tragic accident on Tuesday, December 18, 2018, John Klapak of Oil Springs, passed away at the age of 69, doing what he loved to do. Beloved husband of 41 years to Donna (nee Racher). Loving father to Jackie, Julie, and John, and the late Jamie (2001). Proud grandfather to Cambelle, Cooper, Kash, and Hadley. Dear brother to Anne (Fraser) Burgess, Marg (Ken) Dingwall, Mike Klapak, Andy (Joanne) Klapak, Steve (Anita) Klapak, Stan (Margaret) Klapak and brother-in-law to Doreen Klapak. Predeceased by his parents, Joe (1976) and Anna (1995) Klapak, and his brother Joe (2011). Also predeceased by his father-in-law, Keith Racher (2004). Visitors will be received by the family on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. with parish prayers at 6:45 p.m. from the Needham-Jay Funeral Home, 4059 Petrolia Line, Petrolia. A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, December 22, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Philip’s Parish, 415 King St. Petrolia. Interment in Mount Calvary Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made by cheque to the C.E.E. Hospital Foundation (www.ceehf.ca).
