OBITUARY
Preece, John Kelly, age 74, of Halifax passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Monday December 17, 2018. Born in Deep Brook, Digby, he was a son of the late Cyril and Lorraine (Seward) Preece. His fondest memories and best stories came from growing up in North End Halifax with life-long friends. These same stories will be told in years to come. He will be remembered specifically for teasing and tormenting all of his nieces and nephews, including socks being tied together. His greatest devotion in life was his daughters. His daughters were blessed to have him as a father and he was so proud of himself for his accomplishments in being the best a daughter could ask for. Survived by his daughters; Sharon Preece, Misty Preece, and Cathy Abric; sisters, Terry (Richard) Sayer, Pepper Butler, Dawn (Larry) Cullen; brother, David (Darlene) Preece; grandchildren, Ashley Preece, Brandon Preece, and Zoey Lee; goddaughter, Karen Sayer, and many nieces and nephews. Besides both parents, John is predeceased by his brother-in-law, Tommy Butler. Cremation has taken place. Funeral Service will be held on December 28, 2018 at 11:00 am in St Mother Teresa of Kolkata Roman Catholic Church, Halifax with reception to follow in the church hall.
