Passed away Sunday, October 28, 2018 at Grand River Hospital at the age of 68.
Beloved son of the late John and Joan (nee McGoey) Schmalz. Dear brother of Erin Kraushaar (Eric), Kate (Andrew) McGoey-Smith, Meriellen Cain (Mike).
Loving uncle of Inge (Justin), Matt, Julia (Andy), Gabi (Matt), Ali, Chris, Thomas and Megan, Rosaline (Scott), Jesica, Martha and Russ.
John’s dedicated career of 30 years of custodial service with the Waterloo Region District School Board was a great source of pride for him and his family.
A memorial mass will take place at 1 pm on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at St. Louis R.C. Church, 53 Allen Street, Waterloo.
Fr. Phi Reilly officiating.
