JOHNSON, John Joseph
Passed away peacefully at Hilltop Manor, Cambridge, on Saturday, August 11, 2018 in his 82nd year. Beloved husband of Jessie (nee, Ebbs), with whom he was married for 60 years May 24th. Predeceased by parents Raymond and Mary Roberts. Loving father of Ray (Mike), Joe (Sandy), John, Laurie (Dave) Peckford and Deanne (Steve) Lecours. Cherished grandfather of Lindsay, Jennifer, Kayla, Adam, Danielle, Shannon, Jason, Zachary, Tyler, Dylan and great-grandchildren Jordan and Hailey. Will be dearly missed by the Johnson and Ebbs families and many nieces, nephews and friends. John worked at Budd Automotive and Butler Metal as a tool & die maker. He was a proud member of the Royal Canadian Legion (Preston Branch), he often enjoyed a game of pool with his good friends. Special thank you to the caring staff at Hilltop Manor. Visitation will be held at Lounsbury Funeral Home, 1766 Franklin Blvd., Cambridge, on Thursday, August 16th from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Memorial Service at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. As expressions of sympathy, donations made to the Alzheimer’s Association or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
