Peacefully at home in Barrie surrounded by family on July 9, 2018 at the age of 92. Beloved husband of Joyce. Loving father of Nancy (Les), Jerome (Camille), Elaine, Charlene (John) and Stephen. Dear grandfather of Robert (Brandi), Jasmine (Chris), Ashleigh (David), William, Brooke, Justin (Nikki) and Kyle. Proud great grandfather of Sawyer, Gavin, Logan, Broderick, Everleigh, Myles, Maya, Ayden, Hunter and Parker. Guests will be received at Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 201 Minet’s Point Rd,. Barrie on Thursday July 12, 2018 from 10 – 11:30am. Funeral Mass to be held at St. John Vianney Church, 13 Baldwin Ln,. Barrie on Thursday July 12, 2018 at 12pm. Reception to follow funeral mass. In lieu of flowers, donations in John’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society designated for esophageal cancer and are greatly appreciated.
