John Joseph “Jack” O’Brien
O’Brien, John Joseph (Jack) – Passed peacefully away at Chancellor Park on Sunday, December 23, 2018, aged 83 years. Predeceased by his wife Barbara (2015). Leaving behind with fond and loving memories daughters: Donna Coombs (Howard), Joanne Sotelo, Tina Clarke (Ralph); Grandchildren: Matthew Clarke (Alanna), Jordan Clarke (Rieta), Bradley Clarke (Cassie), Leo Coombs (Sarah), Lindsay Coombs (Connor), and Sadie Sotelo; Great-grandchildren: Meara and Ella. John also leaves behind Sisters: Patsy French, Margo Bennett (Gordon), Mary Fleet, Bernice Parrell (Richard) and brother, Edward O’Brien (Beverly); also a large circle of nephews and nieces, extended family and friends. Special thank you to the nursing staff and Doctor’s at Chancellor Park for their loving care. Cremation has taken place at Barrett’s Funeral Home, Mount Pearl, with no visitation at his request. Funeral service will be held from Barrett’s Funeral Chapel, 73 Commonwealth Avenue, Mount Pearl on Friday, December 28, 2018 at 12:00noon with interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
