At Mississauga, Ontario on February 20, 2018. John Campbell in his 83rd year, son of the late Jay Campbell and Ida Scott of Belleville. Pre-deceased by his step-brother Walter Bird and step-mother Lina Haines. Survived by his wife Maribeth (Bristol), step-sister Barbara Jane (Walter Myles), daughter Allison (Bruce Daccord) of Brampton, son Scott (Joanne Byrne) of Toronto. Lovingly remembered by grandchildren Emma, Meghan and Luke Daccord, Shane and Olivia Campbell and sister-in-law Barbara (Bill Campbell) and family of Belleville. He was formerly Chief Financial Officer of the Scarborough Public Utilities Commission and the Belleville General Hospital as well as Assistant Corporate Secretary of the Canadian Refractories Limited of Montreal. A Memorial Service will be held in the chapel of the Burke Funeral Home (613-968-6968), 150 Church St. Belleville on Saturday, February 24th, 2018 at 1:00 pm, with visitation beginning at 11:30 am. Rev. Michael Rice officiating. A reception will follow in the Terrace Lounge with a private interment at the Belleville Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations to Christ Church Anglican or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
