Obituary of John “Jack” Thompson
Peacefully, after a short illness, on Thursday, December 6, 2018 at the Lakeridge Health Centre in Port Perry, at age 82. Jack Thompson of Port Perry, beloved husband of the late Rose (nee Paterson). Loving father of Michael and his wife Trish of Oshawa, Wayne and his wife Allison of Courtice, and Gord and his wife Trish of Courtice. Loved grandfather of Melissa (Shaun), Kristina (Mark), Jonathan (Brittany), Jennifer (Ravi), Stephanie, Aaron, and Alicia (Jeremy) and great grandfather of Jack, Ethan, Lauren, Penelope, Ellie, and Brixton. Predeceased by his brother Ross. He will be missed by his extended family and friends.
The family of Jack Thompson will receive friends at the WAGG FUNERAL HOME, “McDermott-Panabaker Chapel” 216 Queen Street in Port Perry (905-985-2171) on Sunday, December 9th from 2 – 4 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 1710 Scugog Street (Hwy. 7A) in Port Perry on Monday, December 10th at 11 a.m. with Father Marco Testa officiating. Interment Pine Grove Cemetery, Prince Albert.
