Charette, John Edward “Ted” Ted passed away February 19, 2018 at the age of 100 years. Born in Ottawa September 27, 1917, Ted was a remarkable man. The university educated son of a locomotive engineer, he was a decorated Captain in the Second World War serving with the Irish Regiment in Italy, achieved a high ranking position in the Federal Government, an accomplished artist, skier, sailor, opera lover… and the list goes on. But most important to him was his family – he married the girl in the yellow eyelet lace dress (Peggy Moore) and was her loving husband for over 70 years and become the loving father to his family of eight children:…
