Obituary for
John Donald McLeod
It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of John Donald McLeod in Regina, Saskatchewan on May 9, 2018. John passed after a brief hospital stay following hip surgery and heart complications. He was in his 86th year and lived life “his way” right up to end. Two and a half years ago he returned to his childhood province of Saskatchewan and most recently lived in Willow Bunch, working on his latest project in the Badlands and fulfilling a lifetime love of Canadian history and business ventures.
John is survived by his wife, Vivienne McLeod of Collingwood, children Laura Bissonette (Bob) of Storthoaks, Saskatchewan, Debbie Cooper (Stephen) of Collingwood, Doug McLeod of Newmarket; grandchildren Robert Cotton (Tammy) of Black Diamond, Alberta, Cody Cooper (Mallory) of Bossier City, Louisiana, Calvin Cooper (Yiqiong) of Toronto and two great-grandchildren, DeElla and Benjamin. John also leaves behind nieces Kim, Kathy & Melanie and nephews Tim & Patrick and is predeceased by his brother Jim McLeod (2016).
His wish to be cremated has been respected and his family will be holding a private ceremony this summer to honour and celebrate his life.
