John’s Obituary
KENNEY, John Daley – Age 76 of Meadowvale, formerly of Kingston, passed away Sunday, October 14, 2018 in Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Middleton surrounded by his family. Born in St. Catharine’s, ON, he was a son of the late Frederick and Lenora Kenney. John worked at H.M.C. Dockyard in Halifax for 35 years as an instrument control technician. He loved working with wood and was a very talented woodworker. John was a blood donor, having made 100 donations. He is survived by and will be sadly missed by his wife, Grace; sons, Steven, Ponoka, AB; Darren (Jody), Sylvan Lake, AB; sister-in-law B. Grace Kenney, Gates Mountain Road; brother, Michael (Roberta) Kenney, Meadowvale; grandchildren, Nathan, Nicholas, and Nash. Besides his parents, he was also predeceased by his brother, Fred. Cremation has taken place and there will be a graveside service in Parker Mountain Cemetery, Parker’s Cove in the spring. Donations in John’s memory may be made to Canadian Liver Foundation or the S.P.C.A. Arrangements have been entrusted to Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St. 902-825-3448.
