HENDRIX – Johannes “John” Mattheus of London passed away peacefully at Elgin Manor on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at the age of 80. Beloved husband of Frances Hendrix (nee Bayley). John is survived by children Terry Hendrix (Nancy), Tina Vankroonenburgh and step children Dwayne Mott (Stella), Heather Ellis (Floyd) and Jackie Mott-Emmons. Loving grandfather to Taylor & Cameron Hendrix and Jesse & Jake Vankroonenburgh.Uncle to Yvonne Chennell and Anthony Vandermore. Predeceased by daughter Jennifer Mott-Mifflin and sister Ans Vandermore. Cremation has already taken place. Memorial visitation will be held at the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas (519-631-0570) on Sunday, December 9, 2018 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. A memorial mass will be held at Holy Angels Parish, 502 Talbot Street, St Thomas on Monday, December 10, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. Private interment of ashes in St. Peter’s Cemetery, London at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to Jennifer Mott Memorial Fund would be appreciated. Personal condolences to the family can be made at www.sjfh.ca
