OBITUARY
Jocelyn CAPPELLANI
July 6, 1932 – October 28, 2018
It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Jocelyn on October 28, 2018 at Yucalta Lodge Hospice in Campbell River.
She was born in Mattice, Ontario on July 6, 1932, in a sib line of 6 boys and 6 girls born to Aurore and Ovilda Leclerc. She was predeceased by 10 of her siblings, survived only by her brother, Gilles. She was predeceased by husband, Adelchie (Dick) Cappellani in 1968, spouse Fred Martin and grandson, Shayne Cappellani in 2008.
Jocelyn is also survived by her three children, Michelle, Richard and Barry; granddaughter Tiffany; grandsons Richard and Jesse; great-grandson Christopher; great-great granddaughter, Cara, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Jocelyn moved to the Wawa area as a young adult where she married and raised a family of three children. After the death of her husband, she was employed at Great Lakes Power Co. until she retired and relocated to Campbell River in 1989. Four years ago at the age of 82, Jocelyn moved into Berwick by the Sea where she enjoyed living independently and for the first time enjoyed having her meals prepared for her. Active and energetic until the last few months of her life, Jocelyn walked every day and enjoyed the numerous activities available to her there, especially her passion for puzzles. She will be missed by the many friends she cultivated there.
Jocelyn’s family expresses appreciation for the outstanding care she received at Hospice in her final month. Many thanks to Dr. W. Prinsloo and the staff at Hospice for their compassionate care. Special thanks to good friends, Catherine, Verna and Gina and others too many to mention for their kindness to the end.
A Funeral Service for Jocelyn will be held on November 10, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 34 South Alder Street, Campbell River, BC V9W 2M8.
