Joan (Bobby) Pearce
February 26, 1918 – August 18, 2018
It is with great sadness the family of Joan (Bobby) Pearce announce her passing at the age of 100 at the Parkland Integrated Health Center in Shellbrook on August 18, 2018. The late Joan Pearce was born to Ernest J. & Clara Ann Barden on February 26, 1918 at Criydon, England. That is where she lived until 1940 when she enlisted into the Wrens and she served at Combined Ops Headquarters in Portsmouth, England until May 1946. In March 1946 she married William (Bill) Pearce and came to Canada that same year, settling in Manitou Beach, SK. Joan was predeceased by her husband: Bill; her son Barry; her sisters: Bin and Dorothy; her brother: Jack; as well as her mom and dad. Joan is survived by: her son: Robert (Dawn) Pearce; her daughter: Joan (Robert) Rogers; 6 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren. Joan enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, and reading the paper and news on her iPad everyday. In her later years mom enjoyed getting a ride up town with Mrs. Toth and having coffee with the ladies. Joan will be greatly missed by family and friends. A private family service will be held at a later date. Arrangements in care of MacKenzie Chapel & Crematorium – Shellbrook Funeral Home.
