Obituary of Joanna MacIntyre
Passed away on Wednesday, May 2nd at the age of 65 after a long hard fight with MS. Although it was a struggle, Joanne always remained positive with a smile on her face looking forward to her daily McDonald’s coffee and occasional shopping sprees.
She was the loving daughter of Josephine MacIntyre and the late James MacIntyre, devoted mother to her late son Derek MacDonald and will be missed dearly by her daughter Dana MacDonald (Jenna).
Also survived by her brother Sandy MacIntyre (Julia) and nieces Christine, Lisa and nephew Michael.
She will be missed dearly by friends and staff at Northland Pointe, especially at Friday Bingo and pasta dinners.
Joanne’s family would like to sincerely thank all of the nurses, PSW’s and kitchen staff of Northland Pointe for their unwavering support and care each and every day.
The family will receive friends at ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 179 Clarence Street, in Port Colborne on Monday, May 7, 2018 be from 1-3 p.m. Funeral service will follow on Monday at 3 p.m. in the Armstrong Chapel with Pastor Brian Lofthouse officiating.
Cremation will follow with a private family interment at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the MS Society of Canada would be appreciated by the family.
