Obituary of Joan McMillen
Peacefully, surrounded with her family by her side at the Owen Sound Regional Hospital on Saturday, June 23rd, 2018, Joan Marie McMillen (nee Clarke) of Owen Sound, in her 81st year. Dearly loved wife of the late John McMillen (2014). Loving mother of Rob McMillen (Janine), of Windsor, Mike McMillen (Laurie), of Owen Sound, Wayne McMillen (Sherry), of Es and Patti Deyell (Jeff), of Owen Sound. Proud grandmother of 11 and 3 great grandchildren. Dear sister of Linda Haacke, of St. Louis and Sharon Clarke, of Calgary. Predeceased by her parents George and Ruth Clarke, her sons, Rick and Randy McMillen and a brother, Ross Clarke. Joan was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, the Red Hats and the Friday card group.
Friends may call at the BRIAN E. WOOD FUNERAL HOME, 250 – 14th Street West, Owen Sound, Ontario N4K 3X8 (519-376-7492) on Wednesday, from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. The Ladies Auxiliary of the R.C.L. Branch #6, Owen Sound, will hold a Memorial Service at the Funeral Home on Wednesday evening at 6:45 p.m. A Funeral Service for Joan McMillen will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel, on Thursday, June 28th, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Kathy Underwood officiating. Interment in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Owen Sound. If so desired, the family would appreciate donations to the Chapman House Hospice or the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #6 Owen Sound as an expression of sympathy.
