Joan Marie Flanagan
After a brief struggle with cancer, Joan Marie Flanagan was called by the angels to join their choir in Heaven. She will be greatly missed by her Mommay, Clara Flanagan – Ricard, and will be joining her Dada, Andrew Flanagan.
Our home on the bay will be quite lonely without our Baby Girl Joanie. She will be sadly missed by her brothers Patrick (Elizabeth), Andy (Patty), Jim (Bonnie), Steve (Michelle); sisters Emma, Kathy (Laurie) and Rita (Kevin); the Ricard family, numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, friends and grand nieces and nephews.
The Flanagan family wishes to say a special thanks to Joanies long term care takers over the years – with special thanks to sister Emmie!. “She brightened your day and you helped her “shine”. Also special thanks to the angels in Palliative Care at Campbellton Regional Hospital, you are a very special group!
“A child with special needs will inspire you to be a special kind of person”
Please join us as we give thanks to God for loaning Joanie to us for 67 years. A funeral service for Joanie will be held at St. Gabriel’s Church, Jacquet River on Friday, August 03, 2018 at 11 am with visitation at St. John the Evangelist Church, Belledune Thursday afternoon from 2-4 and 6-8 in the evening. Funeral arrangements are in the care of MacMillan’s Funeral Home, Black Point.
