Matthews (Bouchie), Joan
Margaret
Age 65, Edmonton, Alberta. It is with great sadness
that we announce the sudden passing of our mother, wife, grandmother
and sister, on Friday, April 20th, 2018. Born September 10,
1952, in Guysborough, Nova Scotia, Joan was the daughter of Marie and
Donald Bouchie. She is survived by her husband, Robert Matthews;
son, Bradley (Shannon) Bond; sisters, Verna Doyle,
Linda Bray, Sharon MacIntyre, Shelley (Thane) Jamieson, Arlene
Bouchie, Renata Bouchie (Danny) Mattie; brothers, Jerome, Michael
(Nancy), Donald (Wanda); grandchildren Ella and Elias, as well as many
nieces and nephews. Joan was predeceased by her first
husband, William Armsworthy and infant daughter, Lisa Dawn

Joan was part of a loving family. She took extreme pride in
her son, Brad. Joan will be remembered by family and friends for her
creativity, her sense of humor, her independence and strong will. It
is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye. Someone so special can never
be forgotten. You will remain in our hearts forever.
