Joachim Gringel
October 17, 1935 – June 22, 2018
Passed away at home on Friday, June 22, 2018, at the age of 82 years.
Beloved husband of Bonnie Gringel. Dear father of Karen Sykora, Marsha Scharlach, Fred Folkard, and Tracey Folkard (Philip Strickler). Loved grandfather of Ryan (Laura), Aaron (Johanna), Kristy, Matthew, and Theo, and great grandfather of Brooke. Dear brother of Irene, Klaus, and Hans. Also remembered by many nieces, nephews, and good friends. Very special thanks to nurse Megan, Dr. Doug MacMillan, and Dr. Mary DeCarlios for their care and attention. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Mass in celebration of Joachim’s life will be held at Blessed Sacrament RC Church, 305 Laurentian Dr., Kitchener, on Friday, June 29, 2018 at 12:00 p.m., with Father Larry Parent officiating. If desired, memorial donations would be appreciated to the Canadian Cancer Society, 380 Jamieson Pkwy., Cambridge, ON N3C 4N4.
