In Loving Memory
87 years. Surrounded by his children, Rosaire passed from this life to be reunited with those he loved on Tuesday, September 4, 2018. Beloved husband of 37 years to the late Lorna (nee McFadden) (1991). Loving father of the late Ted (1999), Terry (Lyla Shearon) (2016), Michele Crosby (Bob Riberdy) (2012), Rene, Carol Delisle (Ed Hazelton). Cherished grandfather to 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by brothers Archie and Tony, sisters Blanche Knuckle and Helene Ferland. Rosaire will also be missed by loving companion Joanne Holdsworth, her children Doug, Cathy Fontaine (Brad), Lee-Ann Monaghan and many nieces, nephews, family and friends. Rosaire retired from Canada Customs Agency after 35 years of service. Following retirement Rosaire and Lorna spent a few years as volunteers for the Downtown Mission. Also, Rosaire was a former member of the R.C.L. Br. 261 and 594. Rosaire loved sports and continued to golf, bowl, play baseball and volleyball until his 83rd and 84th year. He loved to work in the garden and keep busy as Mr. Fix It. Rosaire was a kind and gentle man who was loved by all who knew him. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Banwell Gardens for their care and compassion, especially to those who would stop in to see Rosaire in his final days. Visiting will be held at Marcotte Funeral Home (12105 Tecumseh Rd. Tecumseh 519-735-2830) on Saturday & Sunday from 2-5 p.m. & 7-9 p.m. Prayers Sunday at 4:30 p.m. Visiting will continue at Good Shepherd Parish on Monday, September 10, 2018 from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment to follow at St. Anne’s Cemetery.
