It is with great sadness
that we announce the passing of
Mr. Jeffrey Summers Gibson
Passed away in Embrun Ontario on January 16, 2018 at the age of 87 years. Jeffrey was born in Glasgow, Scotland on September 30, 1930. He immigrated to Canada in 1955 (Montréal). He worked for the CBC as an engineer. He was well known as a coach for Verdun Minor Soccer Club, Dances at St-Andrew’s night and driver to many soccer games, skating practices and Hampton Beach trips. Jeffrey is married to Janet (Pollock) on November 18, 1955. They were married for 62 years. Jeffrey is survived by his wife Janet, son Jeff (Nancy) and grandson Angus, son David (Muriel) and grandchildren Krystyne, Emily and late Brandon and daughter Edna (Eric). He also leaves his sister-in-law Edna, nieces, grandnieces, nephews and grand-nephews from Scotland, Ireland, Fergus, Guelph, Victoria and Cobble Hill. Jeffrey will be remembered as a caring husband, a loving father and a dedicated fan to the Rangers. Special thanks to his girls, nursing staff, kitchen staff and administration staff at the St-Jacques Nursing Home, thank you all for the loving care you have given our Dad. The funeral service will be held in the early summer of 2018. In lieu of flowers, donations to Cystic Fibrosis Canada (2221 Yonge Street, Suite 601, Toronto (ON) M4S 2B4) would be appreciated.
