Jeffrey Penton
It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Jeffrey James Penton on Sunday, April 15, 2018, at age 41, after a courageous, determined and lengthy battle with cancer. Jeff passed away at the Health Sciences Centre, surrounded by his loving family. Leaving to mourn with heavy hearts and wonderful memories are his loving wife & best friend, Nadine (Greene), his pride & joy, his beautiful daughters, Annabel & Maddy; devoted mother, Madeline and brother Peter (Debbie); in-law parents Desmond & Frances Greene; sisters in-law Marilyn (Martin Burke) & Natalie (Marc Hamel); brother in-law Patrick Greene. Niece, Katherine, Nephews: William & Austin. As well as a large circle of relatives & friends. Jeff is predeceased by his father, Peter.
In his relatively short life he touched the lives of many people in a positive way and was an inspiration to all. He lived a life full of passion for his family, faith, sports and work. His presence was felt wherever he was, from singing to story-telling or offering advice.
Special thanks to the nurses & staff of 4North A for the care & support you gave Jeff and his family over the last three years. To Dr. David Jones, Charlene Downey NP & all the hematologists at the Health Sciences Centre, your guidance and support will not be forgotten.
Resting at Barrett’s funeral home 73 Commonwealth Ave, Mount Pearl on Tuesday, April 17th, 2018 from 2-5 p.m. & 7-9 p.m. A funeral service mass will be held at Holy Family Parish, Paradise at 10:30am Wednesday, April 18th, 2018. Visitations and funeral service to follow at Tilting, Fogo Island. No flowers by request. Please visit www.barretts.ca to sign the memorial guest book.
