Obituary of Jeffery Hiltz
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Jeffery Elwin Hiltz, 64, of Wolfville, formerly of West Brooklyn.
Jeffery was predeceased by his parents Wilbert and Ethel Hiltz and brother Brian Hiltz in infancy. He has also gone to join his beloved wife, Donna Diane Hiltz.
Jeffery has left behind to mourn, his three daughters; Sandy (Jamie) Braham, of Bishopville, Georgina Hiltz, of Waterville, Sherri (Dana) Kane, of Cambridge and grandson, Oron Hiltz Kane; sister in-law, Rosella Gillis, of New Minas, brother in-law David Miles, of Avonport and his mother in-law, Marion Sawler, of New Minas.
Jeffery was a truck driver for many years at Valley Transfer and Department of Highways driving heavy equipment and then started his own company in recycling of metal and steel. He worked as a bouncer at the Blackbear Tavern in Windsor and he enjoyed driving stock car at the Scotia Speedway in the early 1990’s.
He was well known throughout the valley as he made many great friends and will be missed by many.
Cremation has taken place. A public visitation will take place on Wednesday, October 3rd from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm with a Funeral Service to be held on Thursday October 4th at 11:00 am, in the Wolfville Funeral Chapel, 568 Main Street Wolfville. Interment will take place at the West Brooklyn cemetery in West Brooklyn. A reception will follow at the West Brooklyn Community Hall. Family Flowers only. Memorial donations may be made to CNIB or the Diabetes Society. Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, Wolfville Funeral Chapel, 568 Main Street, Wolfville. (902-542-4656).
