Jeanne C Potter Nee Kooiman 2018

Obituary Overview
Jeanne C. Potter (Nee: Kooiman)
Mom passed away peacefully at the Grace Hospital at the age of 90 years.
Born in the town of Enkhuizen in the Netherlands, Mom lived in difficult times, through an era of economic instability and war in which Holland was occupied by German forces.
She married John, left her family and immigrated to Canada in 1952, which showed great courage. She raised five children in a very busy household and also managed to fit in sewing, knitting, crocheting and petit point. She loved going to the lake in the summers and invited the whole family as well as friends down on the weekends. She was a dedicated WinRho lady, meaning that she was able to donate antibodies to treat Rh incompatibility between mothers and children during pregnancies.
She is survived by her husband, John, her children, Dick (Gladys), Jeannet (Glen), Betty, John (Kat), Robert (Jennifer), 6 grandkids and 4 great grandkids. She has one surviving brother Pete (Nell) who still lives in Holland.
Services will be held at 10:30 am on Tuesday Dec 18, 2018 at Mary Mother of the Church 85 Kirkbridge Drive, Winnipeg, Mb. with lunch to follow.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Cancercare Manitoba.
Thank you to the staff at the Grace for their care and treatment during her time at the hospital.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Jeanne C Potter Nee Kooiman 2018..
