Obituary for
Jean Warwa
Grateful for her long and full life of 93 years, we are saddened to announce the peaceful passing of Jean Warwa.
Jean will be lovingly remembered by her son Bill (Phyllis) Kobitowich, their children Mike (Kathy) and their children Tara and Michelle; Lori (Kevin Barnard), William (Justine) and their children Samantha and Maiya; son Peter Kobitowich (Anne Kolodychuk), his daughter Patty and her children Mason and Blaise; Brady Kobitowich (son of grandson John – deceased); step-daughter Mary Ann (Bill) Rustay; sister Anne; brother Mike (Helen); sister-in-law Steva; and many nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by husbands Nick Kobitowich (1985) and Peter Warwa (2017); parents Bill and Tatiana Stelmaschuk; daughter-in-law Lynn Kobitowich; and grandson John Kobitowich.
As a dedicated parish and UCWLC member, Jean freely offered her time to organize and assist with catering, bazaars and workshops. She loved singing with the church choir. We are grateful to the staff of Rosedale at Griesbach for the care Jean received over the last two years. Basilian Fathers will celebrate a Divine Liturgy on Saturday June 16 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Basil Ukrainian Catholic Church, 7009 – 109 Street, Edmonton with interment in St. Anthony Cemetery.
