Laybolt, Jason Vernon – Age 40 of Musquodoboit Harbour. With immense sadness, we announce the peaceful passing of Jason Vernon Laybolt on October 20, 2018, in Twin Oaks Hospital, Musquodoboit Harbour.
Jason is survived by his mother, Beatrice (Stevens) Laybolt; sister, Tammy Laybolt; his very treasured nephew and niece, Ryan and Raquel McKay; very recent great nephew, baby Noah; grandmother, Olive (Newcombe) Stevens; many aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends. He will be sadly missed by Brittany and Gunner, along with the little girl who stole his heart 12 years ago, Gaby, and her sister, Bree. Jason was predeceased by his father, Roy Laybolt, paternal grandparents, Fred and Marion Laybolt, maternal grandfather, Ralph Stevens.
Anyone who truly knew Jason could count on his loyalty and his kind and loving heart. Jason had many passions which included his love for drag racing, hot rod cars, Harley-Davidson bikes, hunting, spending time with his nephew and niece of whom he was so proud, the NHL (Boston Bruins) and cruising the highways with Uncle Jack, his sidekick.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Arimathea Funeral Cooperative, Upper Musquodoboit. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, October 27th from 1-4 p.m. in Oyster Pond Fire Hall. Memorial donations may be made to March of Dimes Canada.
The family would like to thank the compassionate staff of Twin Oaks Hospital who assisted in providing a comfortable and peaceful journey home.
Our loss for Jason will forever weigh heavy on our hearts, but we take comfort in knowing he is at peace.
