It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Jason Scott who began his journey on September 14, 2018 in Wabaseemoong.
Jason was a loving father, son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, friend and a great nephew. He will be dearly missed by his mother Celene, and father Steven (Leah). He will also be deeply missed by his children Elizabeth, Julianna, Athena, Angel, Trevor, Jaden, Christina, Chelsea, Christopher, Jody, and baby Jason, and by his siblings Virginia (Dave) and Russell. Jason also leaves behind his Uncles Frederick, Jimmy (Rosalyn), Jerry, Ronnie, and Martin, his Aunties Dora (Garnet), Donna (Leonard), Rose, and Eliza (Paul), and his nieces Sierra, Jade, Amira and nephews Drake, and Reshay.
Jason was pre-deceased by his sons Rueben Hunter and Skye Muckle, his grandparents Alice Scott, John Scott, Annie Cameron, and Robert Cameron, his Uncles George Scott, Archie Scott, Bob Scott, Duncan Cameron, and Larry Cameron, and his Aunties Evaleen Cameron, Josephine Fisher, and Cecilia Scott. Also pre-deceased are many cousins, too numerous to mention.
Jason will be always loved and missed by all who knew him. He will be remembered for his avid passion for music, and his generous, loving heart for family and friends. His family like to extend a warm welcome to everyone to the wake and funeral services.
Wake Services will begin on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at 1:00 pm at the Wabaseemoong Community Hall. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 20, 2018 at 11:00am at the Community Hall as well, with Pastor Frank Kowal officiating with burial to follow.
The family would also like to thank the assistance of Treaty Three Police, the Wabaseemoong First Response Team and all of those who helped with anyway they could to try to revive Jason. Our heartfelt appreciation to the support and efforts of everyone. Gichi Miigwech.
