Jane Jamieson Harris, of Durham, passed away peacefully at SBGHC – Durham, on Thursday, January 25, 2018. She was 92.
Born in Hamilton, Ontario on August 16, 1925 to the late Robert and Christina (nee Tosh) Ellis. She was a Secondary School Teacher while working.
Survived by niece Dianne Surridge of Calgary, Alberta, nephews Iain (Lynda) Harris and Bruce (Faye) Harris bother of Hanover, Neil (Donna) Harris of Williamsford, Ricky Ellis of Barrie, Robby Ellis of Philippeans and Eddy Ellis of Port Colborne. Loved by her brother in law Arnie (Betty) Bauer of Hamilton and their children Shirley (Bill) Hearn of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Nancy Blair of Toronto and Susan Bauer of British Columbia as well as many great nieces and nephews and their families. Predeceased by her husband Albert, sister Chrissy Ellis, brother Alec Ellis, niece Pamela Harris and brother in law Hugh Harris.
In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place and a family inurnment will be held at a later date
Memorial donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover.
