Stephens, Jamila Rehmat Bibi (Laldin) –
Peacefully at home on Tuesday May 8, 2018 in her 92nd year. Beloved wife of the late Allauddin Stephens. Dear mother of Amjad Javed (Laurie Marsh) and Arshad Javed (Kristin Gehring) Cherished Grandma of Dean Parker Allyn Stephens, Alyssa Marie Hope Stephens and Aidan Javed and Sarah Javed.
Also survived by brothers Samuel Laldin (Iris) and their children John, Joyce and Sam Jr. ; Emmanuel Laldin (Josephine) and their children Jocelyn, Edmund and Kiran ; and sister Usha Laldin and her children John and Justin. Dearly missed by siblings in Pakistan ; Daniel, Sheila, Azmat, Hamida, Zarina and their families. Predeceased by siblings Sara and Nazir. Dear sister in law of Sultan Khattak (Gulla) and Khalid, Naila, Asif, Nabeela, Aneela, Mansoor and Mohsin ; neices, nephews and their families. Dearly missed by neices Shushma and Fneh both in Brampton and Abida in Kingston and their families. A heartfelt thank you to St. Elizabeth Healthcare for their care and support during this past year.
The family will receive friends at the Robert J. Reid & Sons « The Chapel on Corner », 309 Johnson Street (at Barrie Street) Kingston on Tuesday May 15, 2018 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Liturgy of the Word will be held in the Chapel on Wednesday May 16, 2018 at 3pm. Interment following at St. Mary’s Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.
